Terms of Use

These terms apply to use of Inglewood Residents Directory. By using the reference, you accept the terms below; if you do not accept them, please stop using it.

1. What This Reference Is

Inglewood Residents Directory is privately operated reference material. It describes and links to the public rolls, record indexes, and directory collections connected with Inglewood, California, and Los Angeles County. It does not host government records and is not affiliated with the city, county, state, a court, a library, or any other records custodian.

2. Lawful Rules for Use

Use the reference only for lawful purposes. You may not use it, or information reached through it, to:

  • Stalk, harass, threaten, intimidate, or harm someone.
  • Locate a person protected by a restraining or protective order.
  • Commit identity theft, fraud, impersonation, or another offense.
  • Make an FCRA-regulated decision about credit, employment, housing, insurance, or another covered matter.
  • Scrape or republish the pages at scale.
  • Interfere with the service, its security, or its availability.

California Public Records Act access does not excuse unlawful use of personal information. California Government Code sections 7920.000 through 7931.000 govern requests to the relevant public custodian, not a private operator’s authority to disclose material.

3. No Consumer Reporting Agency

This reference is not a consumer reporting agency as that term is defined by the Fair Credit Reporting Act, 15 U.S.C. section 1681 and following. Nothing written here, and nothing returned by a linked search tool, is a consumer report. It must not be used to decide eligibility for credit, employment, housing, insurance, or another purpose regulated by the FCRA.

4. External Links and Tools

Government portals, libraries, archives, courts, and third-party services have separate terms, privacy notices, availability, prices, and data practices. We do not control those outside resources, including sponsored search tools, and linking to one does not create an endorsement or affiliation.

5. No Warranties

The reference is supplied “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind. We do not promise that a page, fact, link, portal, fee, coverage year, or search result is accurate, complete, current, uninterrupted, or suitable for a particular purpose.

6. Liability Limits

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the operators are not liable for direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or similar damages arising from the use of this reference or a linked resource, including a decision made from a record found through it.

7. Indemnity

You agree to defend and hold harmless the operators from a claim or demand, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, that results from your misuse of the reference or breach of these terms.

8. Copyright and Site Material

The original wording, design, logo, and layout belong to their respective rights holders and are protected by copyright. Linking to a page and quoting a brief attributed excerpt is welcome. Republishing a full page or systematically copying the content is not permitted.

9. Changes to These Terms

These terms may be revised by posting an updated version here. Continued use after a revision means that the updated terms apply to the extent the law permits.

10. Restricting Access

Access may be blocked or limited for a user who violates these terms, abuses the service, or threatens its security. A restriction may occur without advance notice.

11. California Law

California law governs these terms without regard to conflict-of-law rules. California’s public-records statute is the California Public Records Act, Government Code sections 7920.000 through 7931.000. California consumer privacy requirements include the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act, Civil Code section 1798.100 and following. Those statutes apply according to their own scope and do not make this private reference a government custodian.

12. Severability

If a court finds one part of these terms unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect.
